This project gave young people the opportunity to live a concrete work experience.
Destination Surplus Télécom work platform had participants aged between 16 to 30 mainly experiencing difficulties with socio-professional issues. This platform allowed them to take up a full-time work in the furniture sector. For 21 weeks, participants were able to discover their interests and acquire new experiences and skills, while carrying out activities that allow sustainable development and environmental preservation.
The mentoring allowed the young people not only to develop their self-confidence but also to incorporate the several job search techniques; furthermore, they were able to leave the work platform with a rewarding experience. They were also able to validate this new knowledge with future employers.
